Employee Spotlight: Meet PEC Marketing Coordinator, Lauren Songy

Marketing Coordinator Lauren Songy, employee spotlight at Perrier Esquerré Contractors

At Perrier Esquerré Contractors, our people are the foundation of everything we build, and that includes the team behind the brand. This month, we’re proud to highlight Lauren Songy, who was also recently spotlighted by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

What’s your favorite part of the job?

For Lauren, the most rewarding part of her role is event planning. From internal gatherings to companywide celebrations, she thrives on bringing people together.

“I particularly enjoy organizing internal events because they foster team bonding, enhance collaboration, and contribute to a positive, connected workplace culture,” Lauren shared. “Events like our company retreat or end-of-year celebration provide opportunities for everyone to relax, recharge, and recognize the hard work our team has accomplished throughout the year.”

Her thoughtful approach to building community is a big part of what makes PEC’s culture special.

What has contributed to your success?

Lauren credits her success to the strong leadership and mentorship within Perrier Esquerré Contractors.

“I’m fortunate to work alongside experienced team leaders who serve as mentors and role models,” she said. “Their guidance, combined with an environment that encourages curiosity and continuous learning, has empowered me to take initiative and immerse myself in marketing organizations and industry conferences.”

That openness to growth—paired with the trust PEC places in her—has helped Lauren deepen her understanding of the A/E/C industry and strengthen her professional voice.

Beyond the Build

When she’s not crafting proposals or planning events, Lauren loves exploring the world. Her bucket list includes experiencing Oktoberfest in Germany, perfectly timed for her October birthday, and traveling as much as possible.

Her guilty pleasure? Sushi. She’s even started rolling her own at home, though a future trip to Japan for authentic sushi is high on her list.

And a fun fact that might surprise you: Lauren once lived in Italy as an au pair, where she discovered her passion for solo travel and adventure.

PEC Perspective

At PEC, we’re grateful for team members like Lauren who bring creativity, curiosity, and connection to everything they do. Her enthusiasm for both marketing and people continues to elevate our company culture, one event, one story, and one shared experience at a time. Want to join a team that shares your values?
