PEC Celebrates Completion of Laitram CFS Training Facility

Ribbon cutting at the Laitram CFS Training Facility in Jefferson Parish with Perrier Esquerré Contractors, CFS, and Intralox

Perrier Esquerré Contractors (PEC) is honored to have served as general contractor for the new 13,700-square-foot CFS Institute North America Training Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. Developed for Commercial Food Sanitation (CFS) in collaboration with Intralox and SCNZ Architects, LLC, the project reflects PEC’s continued focus on delivering complex, technically driven facilities that support Louisiana’s growing industrial and manufacturing sectors.

A Purpose-Built Environment for Learning

The new CFS Institute is the company’s first standalone training facility, designed to support CFS’s mission of improving food safety and sanitation standards worldwide. The building includes three specialized labs that replicate real-world manufacturing environments, along with classrooms and collaboration areas for training programs such as Sanitation Essentials, Hygienic Design, and Advancing Sanitation Impact Training.

The space enables hands-on instruction, equipment testing, and technical demonstrations—all within a controlled environment built to model hygienic best practices.

Delivering with Collaboration and Craftsmanship

PEC worked closely with SCNZ Architects and the client team to translate a highly technical program into an efficient, durable, and flexible building. The firm provided comprehensive construction management services, from preconstruction planning through closeout, coordinating procurement, scheduling, and quality control to meet CFS’s specialized operational needs.

“Collaboration and attention to detail were essential,” said Brett Perrier, Owner, Perrier Esquerre Contractors. “The design and intent behind this facility required precision in every phase, and we were proud to help bring that vision to life.”

Every phase—from preconstruction planning to systems installation—was managed with a focus on quality and execution. The result is a facility that meets demanding technical requirements and stands as a testament to teamwork and design excellence.

National Manufacturing Day Ribbon Cutting

PEC was proud to attend the official ribbon cutting on National Manufacturing Day, joining CFS, Intralox, SCNZ Architects, and industry partners to celebrate the completion of this specialized learning facility. The event highlighted Louisiana’s growing role in industrial innovation and underscored how investments in education and infrastructure continue to strengthen the state’s manufacturing workforce.

Advancing Industry and Community

Beyond its technical features, the CFS Institute contributes to Jefferson Parish’s reputation as a hub for advanced manufacturing and industrial design. For PEC, the project reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver spaces that support innovation, learning, and long-term economic impact.
